This place is a little hidden gem! So happy we stumbled across it after hours of scouring the internet for self-catering accommodation for 3 nights. With a 16 month old, we can't cope with hotels, all in one room. It's been the perfect base for catching up with friends, a spot of shopping at the Trafford Centre & a couple of hours plane spotting at the airport for dad, while Ella & I relaxed here. Love this place & it's fun, quirky decor. We'll definitely be back (if you'll have us after sticky marks on the microwave from Ella, kissing her reflection).

Back home, and just left with lovely memories of our long weekend in Manchester. We so enjoyed it, and of course the reason was we had the security and comfort of 129, Didsbury. It would 've been fun to come to just on its own, as it's full of clever careful details and very warm. However in the villagey setting of Didsbury, and with the very smooth tram service, it was perfect for jumping off into the different aspects of Manchester. There is such a lot to see and we will be back. I should say that the kindness and friendliness of everyone, including you, was the thing I'll remember most.

Many thanks for letting us stay in your cottage. Your design & attention to detail is delightful & we both really enjoyed the blend of old with new. Public transport is clean , fast & efficient - we used the metrolink & fast train to Liverpool - first time in both M'cr & L'pool since 1965! Very convenient having Thyme Out on the doorstep as it were - breakfasts were delicious & comprehensive! To sample the eating possibilities of Burton Road would take a month - good to see such a wide range of small businesses prospering. We hope to be back.

Thank you for welcoming us into 129 D. We had a fine stay. Everything was perfect except the dreadful performance by Man U at the weekend - our main reason for coming! However, we have enjoyed Burton Road, the trams & the city centre. Spent most of the day in MOSI & still only experienced about a quarter of it. This is a great location. We have friends & relations just around the corner & we would love to come back.

This has been a fantastic place to begin our 'minimoon' - a great place to relax & unwind! I was a guest at the cottage for 4 nights & one of the nights my young grandson stayed. The cottage was so relaxing & quiet I only wanted to leave when I ran out of clean clothes! I slept very well in a lovely bedroom with a king size bed & enjoyed soaking in the huge bath. I cooked most nights & had friends & family round for meals. The kitchen was very well equiped with everything I needed & the local shops are so convenient. West Didsbury is a lovely area which I enjoyed getting to know better, I particularly loved walks along the banks of the River Mersey. I would love to stay again.
